Westchester Association of Women Business Owners Reunion!
If you're a former WAWBO member, it's time to reunite! I got together with Maxine Casalbore and Myra Packman and we talked about how much fun it is to run into old WAWBO members - there is a bond we all share that hasn't gone away even though the group has essentially disbanded.
So, we're getting together at Morton's The Steakhouse in White Plains on March 15th, 5 - 6:30 PM.
Since I need a headcount, please respond by sending me an email at risa@gmgpr.com . You can mail a check to me for payment or follow the PayPal instructions below. If you pay via check, it's $15.00, if you pay via PayPal it's $16.00 to cover PayPal fees. We'll enjoy Morton's delicious Bar Bites menu and you can purchase whatever beverages you like.
NOTE: WE WOULD PREFER TO HAVE EVERYONE SIGN UP PRIOR TO THE EVENT. REGISTRATION AT THE DOOR WILL BE $20.00 PER PERSON, THANK YOU.

WAWBO REUNION PLANNED FOR MARCH 15
WESTCHESTER/ROCKLAND -- Several former presidents of the Westchester Association of Women Business Owners (WAWBO) have planned a WAWBO reunion for Monday, March 15. Anyone who was ever a member is encouraged to RSVP for this grand networking event.
"Many of us still do business with each other and see each other on a social basis. Whenever we run into an 'old' member we reminisce about how much we enjoyed being a part of WAWBO, so we thought it would be a great idea to do a networking event to reconnect with old friends and business associates," stated Risa B. Hoag, President of the organization from 1993 - 1995.
WAWBO was established in 1979 in response to the "old boys' network." Women business owners throughout Westchester and Rockland felt they had no place to turn to network with each other and decided to band together to increase their business opportunities. The organization at its height had more than 300 members but over the span of 27 years had more than 1,500. WAWBO was eventually folded into the Alliance of Hudson Valley Business Women in 2006.
The event will take place from 5:00 PM until 6:30 PM at Morton's The Steakhouse at 9 Maple Avenue in White Plains. To RSVP, visit www.gmgpr.com send an email to Risa Hoag at risa@gmgpr.com or call 845-627-3000. The cost is $15 and attendees will enjoy Morton's famous Bar*Bites menu and each attendee will purchase their own beverages.
